Aims and Scope
Frontiers in Environmental Biology is a peer-reviewed, open-access online journal dedicated to publishing high-quality and impactful research in all areas of environmental and biological sciences. The journal aims to advance scientific understanding of biological systems and their interactions with natural and human-modified environments, supporting sustainable solutions for global environmental challenges.
Environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem resilience, climate adaptation, and environmental health require rigorous scientific research and evidence-based decision-making. With increasing global environmental pressures, interdisciplinary approaches integrating biology, ecology, environmental sciences, biotechnology, and sustainability studies are critical.
Based on these principles, Frontiers in Environmental Biology welcomes submissions addressing, but not limited to, the following topics:

Open Access
Frontiers in Environmental Biology operates under a full open access model, ensuring that all published articles are freely available to readers worldwide without subscription or access fees.
Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, or link to the full text of articles, or use them for any lawful purpose, provided proper attribution is given to the original authors and source.
Copyright and License to Publish
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY).
Authors retain copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions while granting the journal the right of first publication. Articles may be reused and redistributed in any format provided proper citation of authors and source is maintained.
A copyright notice appears in all article formats, including HTML, PDF, and XML versions.
Authors must sign a License to Publish agreement prior to publication. Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for copyrighted materials reused in their manuscripts, including figures or tables from external sources.
Peer Review
The journal adopts a single-blind peer review system in which reviewer identities remain confidential while author identities are visible to reviewers. Except for selected editorials, all submissions undergo rigorous peer review to evaluate originality, scientific validity, clarity, and relevance.

Article Processing Charge (APC)
To encourage submissions during the journal’s initial development phase, no Article Processing Charges (APC) are required for manuscripts accepted before a specified waiver period determined by the publisher.
Future APC policies, waiver options, and discounts will be announced on the journal website.
Archive
To ensure long-term preservation, all published articles are archived in recognized digital preservation repositories. Authors are encouraged to deposit accepted articles in institutional or funding agency archives when required.
Preprint Policy
Include a Data Availability Statement.
Authors are encouraged to deposit datasets (clinical trials, biomedical data, survey results) in repositories such as Figshare, Dryad, or institutional repositories.
If data cannot be shared, provide a justification in the manuscript.
Cover Letter
Authors are encouraged to submit a cover letter including:
★ Manuscript title and article type;
★ Summary of study significance and novelty;
★ Statement confirming originality and exclusive submission;
★ Disclosure of prior preprint, conference, or related dissemination if applicable;
★ Indication if submission is intended for a Special Issue.
